Lemon and Date Scones

Beat together:
150 ml milk
150 ml cream
1 egg
In a separate bowl, Mix:
3 c self-raising flour
2 Tbsp sugar
1 c chopped dates
zest 1 lemon
Pour milk mixture into dry ingredients, mix well.
Lightly knead, make 2 inch high.
Cut into shapes.
Glaze with milk and sugar.
Cook in a hot oven 200, for 10-15 min.
